Confessional interviews with old men and women are amplified via performative, fictional elements, which challenge the documentary tradition. Nostalgic re-enactments harken to an era past, the anthropomorphic Goddesses of Inhibition and Disinhibition vie for the attention of the viewer, and a slew of almost Brechtian composite frictional characters add colour and depth. Love, the difference between men and women, money, time - these enduring themes are all visited, from the elderly's point of view,a perspective seldom sought, but who would know better than they have been through life? Dug from the depths of the memories of the old are recollections of a first date, failed marriages, continuing male desire for "fresh meat", aversions to romance for fear of shame and uniquely Singaporean sexual analogies.
