Description
Summary:Multimedia presentation technology has enormous potential for a myriad of appli-cation including academie classrooms, industrial training, and business presenta-tion. With the advent of presentation technology, it is possible to incorporate a wider range of media including media with actual presentation duration not known in advanced, in order to enable sophisticated user interaction. The duration of such a media can only be determined during the presentation. In this way, users are able to take more control over presentation by controlling the presentation se-quence and selection of the media. More specifically, the multimedia presentation is able to provide coarse-grained and fine-grained multimedia operation to enable sophisticated user interaction. For example, some of the current playback media streams can be terminated while new media streams are invoked to replace the streams in the middle of the presentation.
