The Ultra-Wide Band(UWB) systems have aroused much interest in the industrial as well as the academia due to its capabilities that can be exploited for various applications ranging from ad-hoc small area networking, sensing network, imaging to radar systems. The FCC has set up regulations to ensure proper operation of the UWB systems incorporating with existing systems. RF front-end band pass filter is necessary to ensure the emission level is well within the FCC regulation and more importantly to co-exist with other systems without affecting their performance.
