Summary: | Microwave photonic filters are attractive because of their capabilities to achieve very
high time-bandwidth product capabilities. They can process microwave signals in the
optical domain thus removing the bottlenecks caused by the limited sampling speed in
conventional electrical signal processors. In addition, they have excellent isolation,
immunity to electromagnetic interference and minimize the limitations imposed by
O/E and E/O conversion. |
