Over recent years, cellular mobile communication systems have grown exponentially and the population of mobile users is expected to grow continuously. With more and more requirements of higher data rate and better quality of service, spectrum resource seems very limited. As such, many efficient channel assignment schemes and new network structures are proposed to overcome this problem. Multihop Cellular Network is such a new network architecture which can have a better performance compared to traditional cellular networks. Furthermore, Peer-to-Peer communication is also expected to build a peer-to-peer network model. It has been shown that using the peer-to-peer network model, a mode of communication typically seen in ad hoc wireless networks, can result in performance improvements such as increased data rate, reduced transmission power, better load balancing, and enhanced network coverage.
