Summary: | A package of stories featuring the lives Filipino maids lead after they complete their contracts in Singapore and return to their homes in the Philippines. Aimed to showcase what these women have in store for them after working here for at least 2 years, we have allocated specific stories to address the different aspects of their life, namely, village life, family life, love life as well as work life. Each story focuses on the in-depth stories of selected ex-maids and how a particular aspect of their life has changed after they return to their hometown, and how they themselves may have changed after being apart from their loved ones as well. A final story, Moving On, rounds up the package by featuring women and their future plans, some of which have already been fulfilled and others still working towards, by moving out of the Philippines again and moving on to another. |
