Summary: | This report is for the Final Year Project, Inductorless RF receiver front-end circuits. In this project, inductorless Low Noise Amplifier design is of emphasis. An inductorless low noise amplifier exploring noise cancelling technique is designed and simulated using Candence SpectreRF. A detailed design process is presented in this report.
The designed inductorless low noise amplifier has 7.6mW power consumption. At 2.4 GHz it achieves a noise figure of 2.35dB. The LNA exploring noise cancelling technique has great potential to achieve NF even lower than 2dB. The low noise amplifier has S21 of 9.44dB, S11 of.-6.817dB, 1-dB compression point of -7.87dBm and IP3 of 3.06dBm. Detailed analysis on gain performance and noise figure is shown in this report. |
