Description
Summary:Nowadays, people around the world are sharing multimedia content such as photos and videos through various platforms with the popular ones being Facebook and Flickr. With new wireless technologies and mobile devices available, anyone can view these content whenever they want to and wherever they may be. However, with the rapid increase in popularity of modern technology, things such as old photos tend to remain in dusty photo albums and become nothing more than just mere nostalgia. Thus comes the notion for My Life Space, an example of how modern technology can be used to retain those captured moments as a bridge to fill in the gap between the old and new. For this project, My Life Space has been implemented as a Flash desktop application mainly with the use of XML to organize pre-annotated photos throughout a person’s lifetime according to different categories such as year, location and event amongst others. This application allows users to view and share their cherished moments with their family and friends in an efficiently organized manner. As such, this report further describes the development process, the various tools and technologies used for implementation as well as the resulting My Life Space application achieved and future recommendations for this project.
