Description
Summary:RSS is a file format for describing a list of news. It has become more and more widely used nowadays as the world needs a way to get news faster. For a popular RSS feed, a huge number of subscribers downloads that feed from a server periodically. With this current client/server architecture of RSS feed dissemination, this huge number of downloaders makes the server load very heavy and consumes a lot of bandwidth. This project proposes a way of disseminating RSS feeds in peer-to-peermanner, which aims to spread the responsibility of a single server to be distributed among the peer-to-peer network members, thus reducing the server load and bandwidth, while still providing timely updates to the network participants.
