Description
Summary:This project aims to develop a video streaming over wireless network system based on smart phones running Windows Mobile Operating System. Smart phones have evolved since its first inception and they have gained better networking capabilities in addition to their increased hardware performance. This project is based on the PC to Smartphone streaming which involves streaming video from the PC to the Smartphone over a wireless network. As development on a mobile platform is constrained due to its hardware and software limitations, a research will be conducted to evaluate the capabilities of the phones. These capabilities serve as guidelines for the development of the system. There are two components to this system, the Server and Client application. The Server smart phone is designed to stream video data captured by its camera to the Client smart phone. Both phones are to be connected over IEEE 802.11 wireless networks. The Server is also capable of recording the streaming video and save it as a file on its local memory. Through this implementation, it can be concluded that real time video streaming on mobile devices is feasible.
