Fu Chengpeng School of Computer Engineering Emerging Research Lab DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Computer systems organization::Computer-communication networks Every year, valuable times are wasted by computer users all over the world trying to organize their messy windows desktop. Therefore there exists a need for an application that can help users to efficiently and effectively organize their windows desktop. Developed by a team located at the Emerging Research Lab, VenoOS is the software that will help solve the problem that have plagued computer users for so long by suggesting an innovative way to sort and store program icons and shortcuts thought the use of tabs. Tabs create the illusion of more space as only icons that are required are shown. In addition, users are able to customize the appearance of VenoOS to suit their age, mood, occupation, likes and dislikes, etc. To increase the user friendliness of VenoOS, an auto-hidden feature is implemented. This feature allows the application to automatically hide itself away by the side of the screen when not required. For the time period assigned for the project, the team manages to meet most of the requirements; however concerns regarding the security of the application, etc. are not taken into account. However, since the implementation of VenoOS is modular in design addition features as login module, update module, IPv4 to IPv6 module, Multilanguage support, etc. can be easily added.
