Eileen Reynolds School of Art, Design and Media DRNTU::Visual arts and music::Animation Nowadays, the art of digital compositing has become an essential component to almost all kinds of animation and film making industry. The ongoing development of digital compositing software such as Adobe After Effect, Shake and Nuke has allowed the animation and film industry people to go beyond what we can imagine. Many said, "Now anything is possible with digital compositing." Thus, digital compositing has become a new trend in the global animation and film industry; as what we have seen through blockbuster movies such as Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004), King Kong (2005), the Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), District 9 (2009), Alice in Wonderland (2010) and many more. Realizing the importance of digital compositing knowledge in the future animation and film industry has been my major rationale in initiating this project. Using the latest and the most powerful digital compositing software so far, which is Nuke; Dreamatologist takes place as a Final Year Project which focuses on digital compositing and VFX/special effect.
