I Wish That encompasses my entire process and research on wishing and culminates in the final solution, Wish Craft.
Wish Craft is a guide to the art of making wishes, in every sense of the word. As with craft or cookery, "making" involves an immersive, get-your-hands-dirty process that leads to the creation of something; wishing is no different.
Often, a little more effort on our part can turn wishful thinking into fulfilled wishes.
By knowing what type of wish you are making — is it tangible or abstract, fantastical or realistic, or something else? — the wisher can then choose the best way to fulfill that wish, having the right balance of both physical action and magical belief. The discontentment and inaction that wishing tends to bring about is snuffed out, and wishing becomes both a fantasy and a purpose at once.
And that’s how wishes are made. |
