Opportunities like the launch of TVMobile in public buses in 2001. Since TV public service, MediaCorp, has launched a free to air High Definition (HD) Channel, known as HD5, and is looking forward to broadcast all free to air channels in digital platform. The used of DVB has its advantageous as compare to the existing TV transmission; the used of COFMD, which allow more TV channels available and introduction of HD are such examples of the advantages. But broadcasting digital signal poses many challenges in Singapore. This is because Singapore is an urban city, multipath fading are usually appear due high-rise building or moving vehicles, which would affect the digital signal. And things get complicated when receiving digital signals indoor. Usually the signals received indoors are much lower as compare to outdoor, as there are additional, such as wall penetration and height. Therefore studying of behavior indoor propagation would provide a better understanding of the affect of signals. For this project, a brief introduction of DVB-T in Singapore, the motivation, scope and the objective will be discussed in the first chapter. Next chapter will be reviewing of theories of wireless propagation, such as DVB-T theory, multipath propagation and study of previous project. Equipments used, such as X-Y table, DigiTV Laika Receiver will be explain in next chapters. Experiment of various methods, location for conducting and the result obtained from the experiment will be discussed in detail at following chapter. Finally, the project will be concluded with the results obtained and suggestion of future work.
