Description
Summary:The focus of this paper was on business networking. The present study looked at the different ways business people network outside of office for business in the West then I looked at the ways that people networked in the East. In addition, I focused on networking in the Chinese culture. More specifically, I looked at the concept of ying chou. I also looked at the impact of ying chou on women. Participants were nine Taiwanese women. Results showed that ying chou had more adverse impact on women than positive one. The results made headway into defining the concept of ying chou and paved the way for future research into better defining this cultural phenomenon even in female-dominated industries.
