Nowadays, the proportion of renewable energy in power system is increasing. However, the production of renewable energy is not as stable as fossil generators. Sometimes, this would produce insufficient power supply in the power system and disrupt the load appliances. The objective is to design and develop a direct load control switch for power system containing renewable energy sources by using PSIM simulation software. This product could achieve intelligent control of household loads when there is insufficient power supply. In addition, through simulation, the report shows that by applying electronic controller, this product could be applied for commercial usage. This project focuses on designing the product through software simulation. The simulation software used in this project is PSIM. In this simulation, a constant controllable power supply is constructed. The household loads are simple represented by resistors. The product will achieve the goals when power supply is insufficient, the low priority loads would be switched off automatically. Then the voltage of rest loads would restore to normal working level. The final outcome of this project is to allow variability of solar-wind power injected into the power system. Some recommendations for future works also are introduced.
