The contact data was first obtained from surveys conducted in Singapore. Each survey focused on specific methodologica l questions related to the number of contacts encountered during 2 weekdays and 1 weekend or 2 weekends and 1 weekday. Subsequently, data category and tabulation were done with respect to the different ages, genders, contact types and days. Finally, the statistical computing and graphics were analyzed and investigated using R program. The analysis suggests that genders make no significant differences to the total contact numbers. It is evident from the findings that the contact patterns occurring over the different weekdays had a significant impact on the components of analyses. The observed pattern of social contacts reveals a strong preference for contacting other persons of similar age.
