Summary: | The progress of the Seismic Signal Processing Project is summarized in this report. The main objective of this project is to build a seismic signal processing data acquisition system to facilitate the development of signal processing algorithms. Seismic processing involves many applications such as earthquake, oil exploration, footsteps and vehicle detection. The second part of the project presents the development of signal processing algorithms. This includes detailed study and verification on the feasibility of homomorphic deconvolution technique on seismic processing on footsteps and vehicle movement detection.
The report also discuss about the work progress for the Final Year Project. Firstly, the hardware design and selection gives an overview of the hardware design of Seismic Signal data acquisition system and its selection criteria. This chapter also describes the working principles of the acquisition system.
Secondly, the report examines the development of signal processing data acquisition system, followed by presenting various test results from various simulation methods. This would anticipate some expectation and phenomenon from experimenting with hardware implementation.
Thirdly, the study of Homomorphic deconvolution technique on seismic processing on various simulated and real time testing through software implementation. By comparing the analysis will aid in the testing of other methods. The experiment results are recorded for future study and analysis.
Lastly, the report will end by concluding the Final Year Project with suggestions of any possibilities for future works and improvement. |
