Automatic light control are commonly used in the school toilets, offices and companies, they are mainly making used of motion detectors, once the human movement is detected, the light will be turned on for a fixed period, light will be turned off when the person is not moving, that had posed a problem when someone kept still for a certain time (e.g. Reading), light will turn off. This project solved the problem by using two infrared optical sensors at the door entrance to count the number of peoples enter the room, light will be turned on when the first person entering the room and turned off after last person leave the room.
