description |
The polymer/surfactant/inorganic self assembly method is employed to determine the
feasibility of the formation of Pluronic F127/Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate/Barium ions
(F127/SDS/Ba). The understanding of the solution propelties of the surfactant Sodium
Dodecyl Sulfate SDS and amphiphilic polymer F127 is essential in the application of this
method. Thus, the solution property of the anionic surfactant SDS and amphiphilic polymer F127 and F127/SDS in aqueous solution is studied by the fluorescent probing method using probe pyrene. Moreover the compositional study, dynamic study and morphology characterisation had also been done using Fourier Transform Infra-red spectroscopy, laser light scattering techniques and transmission electron microscopic techniques. The interaction between the amphiphilic polymer F127 and anionic surfactant SDS are characterized by two important concentrations namely the critical aggregation concentration (CAC) which represents the onset for the formation of F127/SDS micelles and the saturation

Upon reaching critical aggregation concentration (CAC) O.11mM, the SDS unimers will start to bind on the single F127 chains to form F127/SDS micelles.
