Given the ability to link global communities of people together through a single network, the Internet and World Wide Web has gained enormous popularity throughout the world. Likewise in Singapore, online information guides were mounted on the Web as another avenue to offer information to end-users. The objective of this study is to evaluate the current standard and framework of primary schools online information guides in Singapore. Through this study, an analysis of user information needs and demands when accessing such online guides is carried out in the form of a questionnaire survey. Current developing Web technologies are evaluated and means of incorporating such technologies into the design of information guides are discussed.
