Some crack problems in off-shore & ship structures
The project was the investigation of the stress intensity of the crack tip where three materials were involved. The different types of cracks were also studied. First, understanding on the application of the finite element analysis, ANSYS, was verified using simple crack with one material. The r...

In the second case, the crack was at the edge and the third case was two cracks located at centre horizontally with the distance ‘d’. The numerical results of three cases obtained were documented for the practical use of current engineering applications.
