description |
Efficient project management requires more than good planning. It also requires that
relevant information be obtained, analysed and reviewed in a timely manner Computers have been shown to be efficient tools for project managers and contractors in tracking the inter-related variables, tasks and information that come into play in a
construction project. However, it is still a recognised fact that even the most
sophisticated computer software is not a substitute for competent project leadership.
Computer applications are now an integral part of project management. There is a
wide range of possible computer applications for use in the construction industry, and
if use intelligently, they can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of managing
projects and reduce the drudgery that has become an increasing burden in administration. |
