Summary:In today's world, web search engines are commonly used to retrieve documents from a large volume of web sites and databases. The most common problem is how to define and modify the query for searching. There are many studies aimed at improving the search performance. The aim of this dissertation is to design a web application using the results of Bibliometric researches conducted by a PhD student in the division of information studies of NTU to populate the user's query to see whether it will increase retrieval effectiveness.
