Summary:The two main objectives of this study are to evaluate how successful the project management of the Singapore - India Joint Venture Projects is inspite of the unstable political, economic, social and trade union problems, and to find out the challenges and obstacles faced by Singapore contractors during the various phases of the projects. Additionally, this study suggests further areas of research relevant to Singapore - India Joint Venture Projects. In order to reach conclusions concerning the above objectives, a survey was conducted to determine the views on critical success factors of the Joint Venture Projects. Challenges and obstacles faced by Singapore contractors during various phases of projects were also identified. Detailed study on the Bangalore Information Technology Park was carried out as a detailed case study, being Singapore's flagship investment in India ($670 Million).
