Description
Summary:Almost all modern electronic and electrical devices are built in with power supply. The increasing researches on energy storage systems brings along the need for better and more efficient test equipments. A DC electronic load is one such system that is capable of testing all sorts DC output power supplies. The cost of DC electronic load is often too high and thus unaffordable to hold many sets. In institutions and schools where large amount of researches are carried out, the need for multiple sets of DC electronic load is often a challenge. Furthermore, conventional power supplies testing often result in large amount of energy losses due to the dissipation of heat. Thus a grid tie DC electronic load will solve this drawback. In this project, the control structure of DC electronic load will be discussed as an initial stage to realize the DC electronic load. The DC electronic load will be implemented by various popular power electronic modules and common control schemes for the ease of realization.
