论严歌苓笔下的少女形象 = A study of teenage female image in Yan Geling's novels

著名作家严歌苓以书写女性而著称，以其透彻的目光、锐利的笔锋勾勒出一个又一个生动的女性形象。然而，严歌苓亦擅长描写悲剧，因此在书写女性故事的当儿，亦同时谱写了一首首的女性悲歌。本篇论文拟将焦点放在严歌苓的三部作品上，即《天浴》、《谁家有女初长成》与《灰舞鞋》，着眼于她笔下的三个少女形象，对她们进行透彻的解读，同时也将结合悲剧理论，针对她们各自所面对的不幸遭遇做详尽的探讨。最后，本文也将紧扣文本，挖掘作者如何透过描写这些少女形象的际遇，来反映出她对特定时代背景下的少女命运等课题之思考。Feminine writing is one of the most significant traits of the Chinese writer, Yan Geling. She also prefers tragedy writing to comedy writing. And so, it is obvious that almost all female characters that she has created have suffered misfortune in the course of their lives. In my opinion, the teenage girl image is the most attractive as they provide most literary appeal among all her female characters. One of the common features with these girls is that misfortune comes along with them while they gradually change through the course of their lives. Three female images will be analysed in this thesis, they are Wen Xiu from Tianyu (Sky Bath), Qiaoqiao from Shui Jia You Nv Chu Zhang Cheng (A Girl Growing up Next Door) and Suizi from Hui Wu Xie (The Grey Dancing Shoes). Besides, I will discuss how the young girls endure their difficulties, and demonstrating their prominent traits over other female characters. Further study on writer's criticism towards some social phenomenon in her novels will be examined extensively.
