Summary: | This dissertation investigate the classification of multimedia streams based on their transmission rate, media type, synchronization requirements and persistency characteristics, and then proposes a mapping of the classification to the SLS parameters for DiffServ operation. The dissertation also suggests an end-to-end QoS delivary mechanism to work with the DiffServ architecture to ensure that end-to-end QoS guarantees are maintained across synchronized media streams. |
