The application should provide functions of view off-line map, GPS locating, search NTU campus places of interest, browse places of interest, store user session (time used, distanced traveled), show status of bike (speed and power left), show warnings (over speed, pedestrian area, off campus). Generally speaking, this project is aimed to create an On-Bike-Information-System (OBIS) [0]. This report generally described how the author gathered information from the project resource base and used these resources to realize the requirements of the project. The main design philosophies of this project are simple, fast, accurate, and user friendly. This project is only designed for NTU campus usage, so it doesn’t support other places. This project is designed for devices with resolution 480*270, so other device may not suitable for this application, and the project is developed on android 1.6 SDK and tested working on android 2.1-update, other android firmware may not be supported.
