總結:Simulation is a cost saving method to solving complex problems in various areas such as production, science and engineering, health care and etc. Distributed simulation would allow the interoperability and reusability of simulation components at different geographically locations. Grid computing enables secure, flexible and coordinated geographically distributed resources sharing among many individuals and organisations. Various Grid service components can be dynamically deployed, discovered and undeployed on demand and will be used to facilitate distributed simulation execution. The High Level Architecture (HLA) is general purpose architecture for distributed computer simulation systems where computer simulations can communicate to other computer simulations regardless of the computing platforms and the Run Time Infrastructure (RTI) is a middleware that is required when implementing the High Level Architecture. In this project, the Service Oriented HLA RTI (SOHR) framework is used which implements a HLA RTI using the Grid services following the Grid-oriented approach where the RTI is implemented using Grid services according to the HLA specification and the six HLA groups should be mapped into different Grid services in order to create service oriented architecture. This project aims to investigate the interoperability between the Commercial-Off-The-Shelf-Simulation Package (CSP) which is the Simul8 software and the distributed simulation development on the Grid using the SOHR framework and to analyze and evaluate its performance in terms of execution time.
