Description
Summary:Phase unwrapping is a classical problem in the fields of medical, military and industrial digital image processing applications. Its primary operation is to extract phase signals from an input image that is wrapped into the range that exceeds -π to +π. It is a process of recovering the absolute phase φ, from a wrapped phase ψ by adding multiples of 2π to the image [5]. Over the years, many solutions and methods have been proposed to address the problem. Path-following and minimum norm methods are the two most common types of phase unwrapping algorithms that will be discussed.
