Global positioning system data acquisition for tectonic monitoring

Tectonic plate movements are often the cause of catastrophe events, such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, which results of death in communities. It is important to have a monitoring system in place to forecast these devastating events and prepare for evacuation. Unfortunately, current monitori...

It is important to have a monitoring system in place to forecast these devastating events and prepare for evacuation. Unfortunately, current monitoring systems are costly and are mostly located at active regions. The proposition of this project is to build a low cost GPS array system suitable for monitoring ground deformity. This project designs and develops a software system that translates raw GPS data to RINEX data which in turn calculated into positioning values.
