Numerical simulation on LH1/LH2 configuration and efficiency based on RK4 method

In purple bacteria photosynthesis, the exciton energy is transferred with high efficiency. The LH1/LH2 ratio and closed RC/LH1 ratio are variables with the light condition since the photosynthetic membrane will adapt to the environment by itself. In this project, a numerical toy model is used to sim...

In this project, a numerical toy model is used to simulate the EET process, in which the RK4 method is used as the main iteration method. Our work verifies some cases of different closed RC/LH1/LH2 ratio and provides values of actual EET efficiency, fluorescence dissipation and their life time. The analysis results show the trend and quantitative relation between each of the result and value of closed RC/LH1/LH2 ratio. The EET efficiency increases with LH1/LH2 ratio and decrease with closed RC/LH1.
