Summary:Network advancements in recent years have caused the Internet to be a popular choice for concurrent and convenient communication, and this is reciprocated with the increasing of Instant Message (IM) and Social Network applications. Our purpose is to design a general collaborative engine on top of single-user applications to make them multi-user supportable. The success of CoWord and CoMaya has verified this idea. The aim of this project is by researching on an unfinished web-based Co-application called CoCKEditor, conduct modification to make it work without error. Necessary research was carried out in my study in order to get familiar with the background knowledge in the very beginning.
