Acid orange 7 (AO7) treatments using hybrid - zinc oxide nano materials and micro filtration membrane : membrane fouling assessment
Organic dyes such as Acid Orange 7 (AO7) has been very popular in the industry to color their products. For the past few years, dye manufacturers have been focusing on the production of a more stable dye. Although this type of dye is more favorable and preferred in the industry, from environmental e...

For the past few years, dye manufacturers have been focusing on the production of a more stable dye. Although this type of dye is more favorable and preferred in the industry, from environmental engineering point of view it is harder to be degraded. Several treatment methods such as trickling filter, chemical coagulation, membrane filtration, and adsorption by activated carbon have been applied to remove this dye. Some of these methods may have achieved effective removal of the dye, however they are expensive and most of them will only change the phase of the organic dye. As a result, it will only pose a new problem of disposing this solid waste containing organic dye.
