Summary:This study investigates the macro mechanical performance of six different design mixes. The design mixes were obtained by adding each of the three fillers (granite, hydrated lime and kaolin) to both gradation mixes, namely, the conventional W3B mix and a new blend mix, W3D1, designed by Teo (2010) and Ibrahim (2010). In addition, the physical characteristics and effects of the fillers being used in asphalt concrete pavements were also investigated and discussed.
