Summary: | Nature inspired research has led to several key discoveries of human history, like the discovery of flight by the Wright Brothers. By studying the product of thousands of years of evolution, we were able to uncover several of nature’s secrets and use this knowledge for the advent of Science.
In this report, we looked into the characterisation of the precursors of the Pugilina Cochlidium’s egg capsules. RPHPLC, SDS-PAGE and MALDI-TOF will be used to gain a better understanding into the number of proteins that are present within the Pugilina Cochlidium precursor and their respective molecular weight. Amino Acid Analyser will be used to obtain the amino acid composition, which gave us an insight into the structure of the egg capsule through the understanding its constituent amino acids. |
