Kaitlyn Young awakes and finds herself trapped in a locked room with no recollection of prior events. Unable to escape, she stumbles around in the dark and discover clues that lead to a startling revelation. The film's story is intentionally ambiguous with an open ended ending, which seeks to provoke the viewers response to provide their own explanation. For Project Marionette, we sought to emulate a more realistic film like treatment as it would be more suitable due to its nature and serious tone. At the same time, we wanted this project to be an in depth technical exploration of 3D software Maya and Vicon's motion capture system. To achieve realistic rendering, naturalistic animation, filmic techniques and recreation of believable effects are among our artistic & technical goals.
