Description
Summary:It is no secret that one's childhood years form the foundation of adult life. However, younger children often blame themselves for their illness and consider their symptoms and/or treatment as a form of punishment for misdeeds - popularly known as "immanent justice". It is an unhealthy mindset that can affect one's reception towards medical care in his adult years. "Immanent justice" is also a dangerous misconception if children reject medical treatment out of rebellion. Thus, it is imperative to educate children about the relevant medical procedures that they will undergo. This helps to engage them - making them feel respected and their bodies, well taken care. This project aims to help educate children about the necessary medical procedure - Blood Taking and Intravenous Drip, through the use of Play Therapy, in particular demonstrative dolls.
