Description
Summary:Biomedical researchers often make use of search engines to conduct research. The main objective of the project is to research on ways and means to aid the improvements of information retrieval by Biomedical Researchers. The author’s study was first conducted by creating a database library of terms using a biomedical database known as BioLexicon. The library of terms in this database, coupled with log data of a popular biomedical website known as PubMed, would enable the study on types of query reformulation patterns of biomedical researchers. The user query log of PubMed will be segmented into windows of timeframes which is essential for conducting the analysis.
