description |
Persuasive technologies can be useful to modify behaviors related to personal financial
management. As the field of persuasive technology is focused on developing computing
systems that attempt to change attitudes and behavior, review of literature from psychology
and health sciences suggest that employing goal-setting in persuasive technologies might be
an effective means of supporting behavior change.
Several studies showed that financial literacy is positively related to self-beneficial financial
behavior, and have suggested that when financial education is developed with input from the
individuals themselves, it can improve their knowledge of debt management, savings and
budgeting and can influence positive change in those behaviors as well. |
