Summary: | As the first active component of a receiver, low noise amplifier plays an important role to amplify the weak signals for subsequent stages and to minimize the overall noise figure of the receiver’s front-end.
This report is for the Final Year Project W2187-102, 60GHz Low Noise Amplifier for Low Power. In this project a 60GHz low noise amplifier (LNA) with minimum power consumption is designed for IEEE 802.15.13c standard. The main purpose is to explore the low power consumption. And performance of low noise, gain, linearity, and stability shall be good enough simultaneously.
In the report low noise amplifier is designed and simulated by Cadence SpectreRF using TSMC 65nm CMOS technology. The basic theories and characters are introduced first then the design and results are expressed. |
