Ductile and robust bolted steel connections are necessary to maintain the structural integrity and mitigate progressive collapse of the entire system. Limited investigation of the behavior of steel connections has been studied under column removal scenarios. The main objective of the final year report is to study the behavior of beam-column joints subjected to catenary action using finite element modeling.
