The design of HB-LED Driver with two level of brightness control was studied and implemented in this project. A DC/DC Buck Converter with continuous output current was proposed to step-down the voltage from the battery source to different level of voltages for the HB-LED module. An Analog switch with low on-resistance was also proposed to integrate with the DC/DC Buck Converter for the switching of different voltages level. The HB-LED driver testing results were presented. The design of the prototype hybrid street lighting system was based on the components or parts such as Photovoltaic Panels, Wind Turbine, Permanent Magnet Generator, Batteries available in the laboratory. Environmental conditions such as wind speed and solar radiation level were monitored using the wind speed sensor and solar radiation sensor available in the laboratory.
