Thus, a reduction of energy consumption can be achieved by utilizing natural light and natural ventilation. The project focuses on buildings in tropical countries with hot and humid environment. The use of daylighting and natural ventilation on a proposed sustainable building will be the highlight of the study. In connection with this, the report presents the analyses of different existing structural elements and orientation that contribute to the construction of a green building, through four case studies. Chosen structural elements (such as wall systems, facades, building envelope and shape of the building) will be compared and adapted into the proposed sustainable building.
