The first 3 stations are classified as integrated stations where they are integrated with bus interchange and shopping malls/town centre. The latter three are classified as non-integrated stations, meaning they are standalone station, with no such facilities. Site investigations were conducted to investigate the actual conditions of the physical amenities and accessibility within the immediate vicinity of the MRT stations. Face to face (FTF) surveys were next conducted at the six MRT stations during peak hours. Business Reply Service (BRS) and online survey methods were also used to increase the sample size. A total of 585 survey forms were received and rain shelters, distance and comfort were rated as the top three factors affecting pedestrians‟ decision to walk from the MRT station to their destination.
