Since there are many types of perpetual motion concept circulating in the internet, the author attempts on build on the idea of using the centrifugal force of a pendulum to create a mechanical feedback loop system and exert on the pendulum’s swing. Perpetual motion will occur when the pendulum is able to sustain by its own centrifugal force by recovering its frictional losses. By going through the design process of research, conceptual design, calculations, computer aided design and fabrication, the prototype of the device can be constructed for testing its functionality. The device consists of several key mechanisms: verge escapement and ratchet-clutch mechanism. |
