Summary: | Titanium dioxide has become the ‘gold standard’ in photocatalytic hydrophilic coatings in self cleaning windows. Its high photoactivity and the ease of deposition coupled with it established use in many existing product have accelerated the release of commercial self-cleaning Titania coatings. We will like to show a high level of wettability of a solid surface as that sustained by biologic action is possible by unitizing photocatalysis. Improvements to TiO2 by doping from low oxidation state to high oxidation state will vary the photocatalytic activity. Experiments had been done to show the effect of doping with different dopants in the photocatalytic properties of the TiO2 nararods. |
