So Ping Lam School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Energy Research Group DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering::Power electronics This project discussed the development of an Intelligent Wireless Sensor Network for Microgrid Wind Turbines. It gives details of the individual modular implementation that constitutes to the development of an Intelligent Wireless Sensor Network. This project will also discuss the motivation of incorporating clean energy into Microgrid. A prototype will represent the integration of the wireless system to a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and Master Unit (MU). At the MU, a Graphic User Interface will be implemented for real-time monitoring of the collected data during the transmission between the RTU and MU. Thus, it will conclude in details, how the data generated by the intelligent wireless sensor is transmitted. Reliable functionality is crucial in a Microgrid where both sensing and communication play important roles. Hence field measurements will be conducted in school campus and collected data will be taken for performance analysis of both Zigbee and 2.4 GHz Radio Frequency.
