However, effects of multiple access interference (MAI) and different types of fading channels could easily degrade the performance of frequency hopped multiple access (FHMA)systems, in terms of its bit error rate (BER). In this project, FHMA systems and fading channels are being simulated and studied in Matlab programs. Frequency Shift Keying is the frequency modulation scheme applied in transmitting digital information pulses throughout the project.At the end, the corresponding results are to be generated, in order to show the difference in the system’s overall BER performance, with changes in the overall number of users, different kinds of fading channel models (including several Rayleigh fading channels and Rician fading channels) as well as variations of the system signal to noise ratio (SNR).
